April brings us not only spring this year but also an increase in minimum wage!

This is exactly what is needed for some staff during the current challenging economic climate but don’t forget that this also impacts those staff earning more than minimum wage.

So, while companies are legally obligated to increase the salaries of some, we would recommend that companies also offer salary/benefit reviews to everyone where it is possible to do so. The job market is offering more to workers than ever before, so it is more important than ever to show your employees what they mean to you and your business!

Open your diary and book reviews for your workers! Make time to discuss their performance and what you can offer; if a pay rise isn’t realistic then can you offer any other benefits? Flexible working, extra holiday days, healthcare?
